Memorial Day Ceremonial Services

Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for mourning the U.S. military personnel who have died while serving in the United States armed forces. It is observed on the last Monday of May. 

Tabernacle Township Committee and Tabernacle Township Recreation Committee are proud to announce that the Memorial Day parade and ceremony will be as follows:

Saturday, May 28, 2022

*Staging at Seneca, beginning at 9:00 AM

*Leave Seneca at 10:00 AM

*Move the parade down to the Jr. Mechanic’s Cemetery, where there will be a VFW ceremony

*Parade proceeds to the Town Hall 

*Emergency Vehicles will move off to Holy Eucharist Church parking lot, to allow the marchers to enter the Town Hall's parking lot

*Folding of the American Flag.

*Ceremony / Speeches / Wreath Laying / Taps / Volley

*Closing of the Event

*Once at Town Hall, volunteers will present and place their ceremonial wreath along the Memorial Monument for all veterans.

*A prayer will be recited along with a rifle fire of the 21-gun salute to honor the nation's fallen.

*Any organization is welcomed to place a wreath.
