To avoid the spread of COVID-19 at Town Hall, we encourage that you conduct your township business via email, by telephone and/or the use of our SECURED drop box.

GARAGE SALE PERMITS
A permit is required for any garage/yard sale.  A permit can be obtained at Town Hall for a fee of $5.00.  Only two permits during a twelve-month period.  No more than two consecutive calendar days are allowed. Anyone not obtaining this permit and holding a garage sale can be fined up to $500.00.

APPLICATION FOR A BINGO LICENSE / APPLICATION FOR A RAFFLE LICENSE
Any non-profit organization that wishes to hold a raffle/50-50/Merchandise Auction/Bingo, etc. must obtain a permit. Organizations must be registered with the New Jersey Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission. (LGCCC).  

You must read, complete, and submit the application in its entirety.  If anything is incomplete, the application will be returned to you.  Allow six weeks for the process to be completed once the application has been submitted and approved by the Municipal Clerk.  The applications are forwarded to the (LGCCC) for their approval.  There is a 15-day waiting period after the application is submitted to the LGCCC before the permit will be granted.

BUSINESS REGISTRATION - ANNUALLY IN JANUARY
If operating a business in Tabernacle, you are required to register the business.  All business owners must contact the Zoning Office (609) 268-1220 x119 for any approvals. 

First time and new business registration fee is $35.00 and thereafter are required to renew the business annually.  Renewals are $10.00 and need to be renewed between January 1 through January 31st  of every year.  After February 1st, there is a late fee of $2.00 per month.  Reminders are sent as a courtesy.  It is your responsibility to renew your business every year. 

On the front page of the Township’s website the Business Registration Portal is located at the quick links.  This allows business owners to easily set up accounts to register and renew a business. Once the online form is submitted and reviewed/accepted by the Municipal Clerk’s Office, you will be able to submit your payment.  Payment must be received before your registration / certificate is approved.

1.  Complete the online Business and Industry Registration.

2.  Renewal fee: $10.00

3.  Method of Payment:  EXACT cash only /checks / money orders.  Online payments and credit/debit card payments are currently not available.

4.  Checks are made payable to: Tabernacle Township.  Any check that is returned for insufficient funds is subject to a $20.00 service fee.

5.  You must provide a self-addressed stamped envelope for the return of a business certificate and/or a receipt.  Otherwise, your canceled check will serve as your receipt.

6.  Drop payments or any paperwork in the drop box.

LATE FEES HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED FOR YEAR 2021

DOG REGISTRATIONANNUALLY IN JANUARY (DOG LICENSE FEE (§ 5-1.1))
If you are a home owner, landlord and/or renter in Tabernacle Township, and have a dog(s), you are required to obtain a license for all dogs.  Proof of current rabies vaccination is required for each license issued.  Reminders are sent as a courtesy.  It is your responsibility to obtain a dog license every January.  Please do not wait for a summons reminder from the Code Enforcement office.  

On the front page of the Township’s website the Dog Licensing Application portal is located at the quick links.  This allows dog owners to easily set up accounts to register and renew a dog license.  Once the online form is submitted and reviewed/approved, you will be able to submit your payment.  Payment must be received before your dog license and dog tags are approved.  

First time dog license registrations and renewals are:           
$12.00.   neutered/spayed.
$15.00.   not neutered/spayed            

After February 1, the late fee is $2.00 per month.*

CARRANZA MEMORIAL SERVICE
Location:     Wharton State Forest, Carranza Road, Tabernacle, New Jersey 
When:           Once a year, at 1:00 P.M. on the Saturday closest to July 12th. 
Hosted by:  American Legion Post 11, from Mount Holly, New Jersey, along with representatives from the Mexican consulates in New York City, New York and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to honor Captain Emilio Carranza.
